Hey just because I moved to GA doesn't mean I have to miss listening to you guys, so when I heard about you making thanksgiving turkey I had to send in my little turkey tip. 1ST coat the inside of turkey with butter, then put a little salt and pepper, then I like to stuff it with apples and orange to keep it juiciy while you cook it. Hey Charlotte! If you are feeling froggy and can operate a propane tank you should fry a turkey. Get a turkey fryer and follow the directions, but the big thing is this... regulate the temperature of the oil. The plus to frying a turkey is that it is juicy and is done in like 30 minutes. Inject the seasoning the night before, make sure you pat the turkey dry and then fry it in 350 degree peanut oil for 3 minutes a pound. It is DELICIOUS and it doesn't make your kitchen hot from running an oven all day.

Hey Charlotte!! I just heard you say something about cooking for a big family for Thanksgiving so I thought I would send you an easy recipe to help you out. I come from a big family too and this is SO much easier than making a bunch of pumpkin pies. It is an upside down pumpkin pie and it is FABULOUS!

Get a big can of pumpkin (like for two pies) and follow the directions to mix up pumpkin pie. Poor this mixture into a 9x13 cake pan.
Get a yellow cake mix and dump it into a bowl... sprinkle the dry cake mix over the pumpkin mixture.
Melt 1 1/2 sticks of butter/margarine and drizzle over the dry cake mix. Bake according to instructions on can of pumpkin

1 pkg of yellow cake mix
1 stick butter
1 egg
mix all together & press into bottom of a 9x13 pan

then.........

1 8oz pkg cream cheese
1 box powdered sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla

cream together cream cheese, sugar, eggs, vanilla & pour over cake mixture. Bake for 30 minutes at 350. Watch carefully as mixture tends to brown quickly. Dont overcook. No frosting is needed but dust with powdered sugar.....

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 22 — Children who participated in “Kid Nation,” a CBS reality show that has come under fire over questions of whether it violated child safety and labor laws, were required to do whatever they were told by the show’s producers, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, or risk expulsion from the show, according to a copy of the contract signed by the children and their parents.

The contract also specifies that while the children could be paid for their participation, those payments or the agreement to be fully under the producers’ direction did not constitute employment under the producers’ interpretation and therefore was not subject to any state or federal labor laws.

The agreement, which was provided to The New York Times by the New Mexico attorney general’s office under an open records act request, appears to anticipate the arguments that were later made by New Mexico state authorities that the show’s producers might have violated state labor laws and licensing requirements for child housing.

“Kid Nation,” which is scheduled to have its premiere on CBS on Sept. 19, took 40 children, ages 8 to 15, and placed them in a New Mexico desert “ghost town” near Santa Fe for 40 days, during which they had little to no contact with their parents. The program has been criticized by New Mexico state authorities who have said that they were not notified in advance of the conditions, which they said appeared to violate state laws.

The parent of at least one participant has complained to New Mexico authorities that the conditions were abusive and that several children were harmed during the production.

The 22-page agreement leaves little room for parents to argue that they did not know what their children might encounter. As is standard in such agreements, the parents and the children agreed not to hold the producers and CBS responsible if their children died or were injured, if they received inadequate medical care, or if their housing was unsafe and caused injury.

But while such agreements might be standard for adult participants in a reality show, it also takes on a different tone when the minor and the parent are being held solely responsible for any “emotional distress, illness, sexually transmitted diseases, H.I.V. and pregnancy” that might occur if the child “chooses to enter into an intimate relationship of any nature with another participant or any other person.”

The agreement also imposes extensive confidentiality requirements on the parents and the children, including that any interviews they grant must be approved by CBS. Those confidentiality conditions extend for three years beyond the end of the show, not the individual 13-episode cycle in which a child participates but the entire series, however many cycles it includes. The producers of “Kid Nation” have already begun interviewing children to take part in the second installment.

Violating the confidentiality agreement carries a $5 million penalty. CBS and the production companies, Good TV Inc. and Magic Molehill Productions, retained the rights to the children’s life stories “in perpetuity and throughout the universe.” And that right includes the right to portray the children either accurately or with fictionalization “to achieve a humorous or satirical effect.”

To ensure that parents and the children abide by the agreement, the payment of the $5,000 stipend promised to the children who complete the series and the $20,000 that some of them received for being voted the best participant in each of the 13 episodes can be withheld, according to the contract, until after the broadcast of the entire series.

The contract also specifies that the children are able to leave the production at any time, but that in doing so they will lose their right to receive payment and will still be bound by confidentiality provisions.

In response to inquiries about the agreement, CBS issued a statement saying that “the series was filmed responsibly and within all applicable laws in the state of New Mexico at the time of the production.”

While some injuries occurred, they “were all treated immediately and by professionals,” the statement said. “These kids were in good hands and under good care with procedures and safety structures that arguably rival or surpass any school or camp in the country.”

CBS declined to allow a reporter to speak to the parent who complained to New Mexico authorities about the conditions at the production site, but said in the statement that the parent’s complaints were “distorting the true picture of the ‘Kid Nation’ experience, about which the overwhelming majority of kids are highly enthusiastic and happy; a sentiment shared by their parents too.”

Interviews with some of the parents of the participants last week evoked few qualms about the scrutiny or stresses to which their children might be subjected. Tabitha, the mother of Taylor, a 10-year-old from Sylvester, Ga., who took part in the program, said she went over the contract “again and again” before signing it. (CBS did not allow parents to reveal their last names.)

“My daughter does a lot of pageants” and therefore is used to being closely observed, Tabitha said. “People may say she may only be 10 years old, but she was willing to take that chance. CBS did everything to inform us parents. I don’t feel like I was let down, misled or that it was exploitation.”

I have had it happen...Riverfest it was hot I decided to wear a dress (plus it was a cute new sun dress so I was feeling pretty hot). I was trying to get through security into a backstage area, I was supposed to introduce Gym Class Heroes. In the middle of a conversation with security (an older gentleman) the wind caught my dress and showed all my business to the security guy (I was NOT wearing cute panties, but for the record I was not pulling a Britney Spears!!!). We have heard the rumors about Star leaving The View in the fall because Rosie said that there is no way that the two of them could work together. But until this week it had only been rumor. Star in her typical fashion quit her own way! Producers had told her that they would give her time to find a new job and whenever she found a new gig she could go on the air and announce that she was leaving to _____. And whatever she said ABC would back her up, and never mention that she was fired. But in a surprise to everyone she just went on the air and announced her departure...producers were of course upset they were not consulted about the announcement. Barbara went on the air the next day and read quite a scathing statement.

I have been hard on Britney as a parent. First the driving with Sean Preston on her lap, then of course Sean getting dropped on his little head, and don't forget Britney putting Sean in a front facing car seat in the back of her Mini last week. Yesterday she was in NYC carrying a drink in one hand and Sean Preston in the other. She tripped on her shoe and almost dropped the kid on his little head. Luckily a stranger caught Sean before he landed in the street. It could happen to the best of us. However, people in the street said rather than thanking the stranger she said "that is why I need a gun!" Here are the pictures of the incident.

US weekly is reporting that Brit is 4 months pregnant and certainly not excited about the prospect of another baby Federline. US weekly says Brit cried her eyes out when the doctor told her. We have all be there we stayed the night somewhere and didn't plan ahead to bring a change of clothes then the next morning you have to leave his place wearing exactly what you were wearing the night before. (Mom, just in case you are reading this I don't know anything about this from personal experience...my friends told me). It is the Walk of Shame...you pray that the neighbors aren't watching. Poor Jessica Simpson had to do the walk of shame out of the Chateau Marmont Hotel in LA. Where Adam Levine of Maroon 5 is living. Rumor has it she was partying and dissapeared into Adam's room and did not emerge until the next morning...wearing the exact same outfit...well, she had added one of Adams shirts!!! There have been rumors about Jess and Adam for months, before they announced the end of Jessica and Nick's marriage.

I don't know if there is anyway to put this delicately...here goes.....As women we all have huge fears of a certain time of the month. But doesn't everyone know not to wear white pants during certain weeks. I know we have all experienced the humiliation of this happening, I wasn't sure if I should laugh or cry for Mischa Barton. Can you imagine having paparazzi around to document the event.

Well I am sitting in Chattanooga, TN after finishing Thanksgiving dinner with my family...we have not yet killed each other but there are a couple days left to go. What I really need right now is a big tall really stiff drink! Just in case people are checking my blog over the Thanksgiving weekend and have missed the news...it is offically over for Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson! Here is a bit of the press release...

Lately George Clooney has been in the news talking about wanting to find a wife and settle down. Anyone who knows me knows that I have been (unsuccessfully) looking for a husband. George and I are perfect for each other! Now I need to find a way to tell him. What better way to do that than get him on my show for an interview. But it is not like you can just call up George's people and say "hey I need an interview." You have to figure out who George's people are in the first place! What I really need is someone who knows someone who knows someone who might know George. It is only the end of day 1 so I remain hopeful! But rather than leave work and surf the internet to see if I could find clues, I took a nap. It was a really nice nap, and you know that sleeping makes you skinny...actually I think that the study said sleeping 8 hours a night makes it less likely that you are obese but who's counting...I need all the help I can get! I am going to keep track of my journey here on my blog. If you happen to know someone who knows someone who might know George please let me know. I am going to bed now...hey, George is going to want a skinny wife!

Another one bites the dust! Nick Carter is engaged to Bai Ling she stared in "The King and I" and a spread in Playboy. Nick sure seems to like the classy women (remember Paris Hilton)!! Don't get me wrong he has 2 of the 3 important "S's" he is sexy and he sings. I just don't know about how stablility...financially stable-most likely but anyone remember those horrible bruises that Paris showed up with? It may not have been him, he and Paris both deny it however Nick's little brother Aaron claims it was Nick.
If you are watching the VH-1 show "But can they sing?" you know Bai Ling. If you missed it here is the video (the answer to VH-1 question is NO!)

Poor Brit is stuck at home with Sean Preston while K-Fed is out partying like a rockstar with her money. She ended up flying home to Louisianna to be with her Mom (she looks great).

Britney ended up cancelling K-Feds Credit card while she was gone. Here are the pics of him getting declined at both the ATM and Blockbuster.

When I set-up this blog I set it up to report on celebrity gossip and easily post celebrity pictures. Before the blog I found lots of pictures but was unable to share them with you because the web addresses were just way too long to give out on the air. I simply stated my opinion about Britney Spears baby...I realize that was not the most "PC" thing to say...but then again this is my blog and I am entitled to my opinion. I knew that some would disagree, I turned on comments so people could do that. What I was not prepared for was the personal attacks! Here are just a few.

It is not only Monday...it is Monday with incredible PMS! I already feel sorry for anyone that might cross me today!

Tonight is the Alice premiere of Hitch with Will Smith. I am not usually a movie watcher but I am really excited about this one.

I am so ready for summer this whole going weeks at a time without seeing the sun is not for me! It is another rainy nasty day. I love Arkansas in the summer when you can hike, wakeboard, ski, boat, camp just spend lots of time outside. Can you tell yet that I have PMS?

Being an adult is not fun

I am having to make all these decisions about a house it seemed like it was going to be easy and fun at first but after an inspection that did not go very well I am really not sure about what I am going to do! The inspector said something about a gas pipe that was not right and there is the possibility of it exploding....something about an exploding house seems kinda scary. I really don't want to start over looking at houses!

It has just not been a good day....I think that I killed the Alice van. I hit a curb headed down the hill at Financial Center trying to keep from hitting someone who hit their brakes. It is going in the shop...hopefully it is not dead!

I love the Backstreet Boys. They were huge when I was in high school...they bring back so many great memories. I am really excited about them releasing a new album someone has leaked one of the songs. I think that it is good stuff. If you want to hear it click here.

I can't believe that it is Monday. I am just not ready to start another week, this is the coolest job ever but it doesn't change the fact that you have got to roll out of bed on a Monday morning. It was an incredibly lazy weekend. I spent a whole lot of time sleeping (I was in bed by 11 every night....I know crazy huh?) and hanging out with girlfriends. Every now and then you need to spend a weekend with the girls!

I am doing the last couple things before I buy the new house. At first I was not really that excited about buying a home it just seemed like the smart thing to do. Now, that I have found the house...spent some time picking paint colors, and fixtures I am excited. Tomorrow is the inspection....wish me luck!

I don't know about you but if I was getting a divorce from someone as pretty as Brad Pitt I would be in seclusion. Not Jennifer Anniston. She is already dating someone, his name is Vincent Cassel..click here to check him out....he is no Brad Pitt!
